Russia was planning to divide Georgia since they put responsibility to help and protect Georgia from muslims in 1801 but shortly they declared Georgia Part of russian EMPIRE. Georgia became independent in 1918 but russian RED ARMY came to Caucasus and occupied us in 1921.
They divided Georgia to Autonomies and moved non ethnic Georgians to different parts of Georgia. the idea was to create several hot spots inside the countrey (today you can see why they did it). since communists came to power in Russia KGB was working to terminate Religion and intelligent people (millions were killed and sent to Sybiria). Finally Soviet Union crashed and Georgia became independent again. sadly people were not prepared to be independent and were like sheep without master. there was no lustration and people who were working on KGB became powerful and asked EDUARD SHEVARDNADZE (ex head of "CK"). who started and lost war in Abkhazia (he did what he was ordered to do by RUSSIANS). Also first war with Ossetia was planned by Russians but unfortunately that really was an ethnic based WAR. both of wars left ethnic problems but time heals everything when you live free. but in the separatist regions Russians kept people in stress and every single day in past 16 years those people thought Georgians wanted to kill them all. AND THAT IS THE BIGGEST LIE!!!
I must say Georgia is the place were muslims christians and jews e.c.t. are living together peacefully!
for example my mother in low is Ossetian. i have Armenian Georgian Abkhaz and Jewish friends in Tbilisi.
back to Russians. for one week Ossetian gangs were shooting at Georgian villages from russian heavy artilery and russians did nothing to stop them and UN is so afraid that they will stay without russian gas that they just act like they were blind for that week (similar actions were here for 16 years.) Russians gave their passports to locals and now they say they have to protect them... tell me if russians have that right to protect their people outside their country why should Georgia be the one who should shut eyes on terror?!
...there is so much to say... THERE IS NO CONFLICT INSIDE GEORGIA!!! WE WOULD LIVE IN PEACE IF NOT RUSSIANS
